Being sad is not being depressed,
Being depressed doesn’t mean clinical depression,
Know the difference and make sure you talk about it.
Depression and Anxiety are two different things, but at times after depression anxiety also starts to increase.
Anyone is depressed and unable to express it themselves make sure you talk to them alone, not in groups. Make sure you spend quality time with them. After all your efforts if they are still showing signs of depression (i.e they aren’t open about their feelings as they usually do, they are relatively silent and doesn’t seem to connect personally anymore). Check with them, if they are breaking down to tears for relatively small troubles or reasons. These signs indicate that they need to go to a Psychiatrist.
Talking about Depression and Anxiety is important in modern world. You will never know what the person next to you going through. If you can help them in anyways make sure you do. It does make you feel accomplished.
